This year’s National Disaster
Resilience Month celebration carries the theme. “Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro
para sa Tunay na Pagbabago.
We have to instill to the community,
particularly the youth, disaster preparedness. Many have been saying that
calamities choose no age and limit nor any matter, thus it is very important
that we are ready in case we are hit.
Some disaster give a warning, such as a storm
preceding a flood. Other’s such as earthquakes give little or no warning. Once
a disaster will happen , the time to prepared has gone. The best way to cope with
a natural disaster is to prepare by having a plan before it strikes.
That would emphasize the resilience,
safety and protection of the community that can be achieved through cooperation
and readiness of the public to assist each other especially times of
emergencies and disasters.
